Most people are surprised to learn that our CEO and founder Maryanna didn’t discover she had dyslexia until her final year of college. A professor noticed her classroom participation didn’t quite match her written test results and encouraged her to get evaluated.

The diagnosis explained a lot and revealed a family thread. Her grandfather, father, and uncle had also lived with dyslexia. All were successful business owners, proof that creativity and intelligence take many forms.

Years later, as Maryanna began writing her first book, those memories came back. She realized how many brilliant people—entrepreneurs, executives, thought leaders—struggle to get their ideas on paper. Some are dyslexic. Others simply think differently or communicate best through conversation.

This became the heart of Aloha Publishing’s process: we don’t “fix” how someone writes, we capture how they think, speak, and lead. Our interview-based approach was born from this belief, helping every author’s story shine just as clearly as they tell it. 🌺
