NEW PODCAST EPISODE! "You can create it, but you don't own it."

Today’s episode isn’t about a celebrity. It’s not about a bestselling author or a viral filmmaker. It’s about a guy who forgets where he parked, wears mismatched socks, and once left his coffee on the roof of his car. But behind the clumsy charm? ...

As I watch my mentors disappearing it is becoming apparent that the sand in the hourglass is running lower for me as well. I was never a Parrothead, but rather I was the guy who went to see Jimmy and the Coral Reefers celebrate life, joy and a “be your own boss” lifestyle. I embraced the music. Escapism. A Mark Twain STORYTELLER OF THE HIGHEST DEGREE! For me, it was the music, the attitude of the man and his laid back, sharp perspectives of his life. Jimmy Buffett. To a large extent, Jimmy was the reason I did a lot of things, the reason my perspectives were a bit askew from others. So many songs of Jimmy Buffett are running through my head right now. It’s overwhelming to say the least. There’s more but if you want to hear Jimmy’s influence on my state of mind, my podcast ‘Life’s Learning Curve‘ covers that pretty well. For now I’ll just say that I’ll miss you Jimmy.
I’m reminded of a song called 'Incommunicado' which Jimmy wrote after learning of John Wayne’s death. It applies today.
Now on the day that John Wayne died
I found myself on the continental divide
Tell me where do I go from here?
Think I'll ride into Leadville and have a few beers
I think of "Red River" or "Liberty Valance"
Can't believe the old man's gone.
[Chorus 2]
But now he's incommunicado
Leavin' such a hole in a world that believed
That a life with such bravado
Was takin' the right way home
