The pilot program will allow festival-goers to buy alcoholic beverages from downtown businesses that they can consume off-premises within a designated area. Currently, the village’s ordinances do not allow off-premise consumption beyond sidewalk cafes.

East Dundee will test the idea of creating a downtown outdoor drinking area by trying it at four summer events this year.

Scattered snow showers will develop this afternoon and spread into northern IL and northwest IN this evening. With temperatures starting above freezing, snow accums may be limited until temperatures drop after sunset. However, reduced visibility will still lead to a slowed evening commute.

Slowly cleaning out the store has been harder than we ever imagined. 💔

If you’ve driven by recently, you may have noticed a HUGE change... there is zero candy left in our store.

While this moment is painful, we’re choosing to find meaning in it. We donated all of our candy, about $9,000 worth, to the D300 Food Pantry, giving it a second life and helping families right here in our community. 🍬❤️

Knowing our candy will bring smiles to others helps us smile a little through the hurt.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and support you’ve shown us. This isn’t goodbye; we’ll be back shortly, and we wish each and every one of you a wonderful New Year. ✨

We will continue to update social media!
