The migration remains widespread.

Stripers are stretched from New Jersey to Maine, with big tides and the new moon expected to keep bass and bait pushing toward their summer haunts. Montauk, Block Island, Long Island Sound, and the waters north of Boston are among the current hotbeds, while Cape Cod saw another wave of bass move through with squid in the mix.

Sheepshead fishing is getting better around Ocean City, fluke and sea bass action remains spotty on the inshore reefs, and the offshore yellowfin bite has quieted down. Inside the bay, the low-light topwater striped bass bite is still producing well for anglers working shallow bait with slow, steady presentations.
