A special “Thank you” to everyone who donated turkeys and groceries. The Falmouth Service Center people were thrilled with the 24 turkeys and several bags of groceries. Thank you Sandy and Dennis for delivering the donations Wishing everyone a Happy Thansgiving.

Reminder - Bring your frozen turkey to the clubhouse on Sunday between 12:00 - 12:30. Sandy and Dennis will bring the turkeys to the Falmouth Service Center.

The Great Harbors Club House will be open from noon to 12:30 pm for turkey drop-offs for donation to the Falmouth Service Center.

Dennis and Sandy Sullivan have graciously volunteered to deliver the turkeys. Frozen turkeys weighing between 10-16 lbs. will be accepted.

If you want to stick around to watch the Patriots (9-2) vs the Bengals (3-7) the fun will start at 12:30 pm with kickoff at 1 pm.

Don’t be a turkey, bring a snack to share and your own beverages. Take a break from Thanksgiving prep and come cheer on the NEW Patriots!

Louis S. Sebok of East Falmouth died on October 28. He was 98.

Born in Budapest, Hungary, he attended the Technical University of Budapest, earning a mechanical engineering diploma and was an assistant professor when the Hungarian Revolution broke out in 1956.

He met his wife, Anna, in Hungary, where they enjoyed sailing on Lake Balaton. They married in Vienna, Austria, after they both left the country during the revolution.

They emigrated first to London, where he worked as a software engineer at IBM and later moved to Boston, where he worked in engineering and then general management positions for LFE, Polaroid, Wang Laboratories, Gould-Allied Controls and RR Donnelley.

Married for 69 years, they enjoyed sailing, skiing, playing tennis, biking, theater, symphony and traveling the world. Having spent summers on Cape Cod, they retired there in 1995. For 10 years after retirement, they sailed a Moody 42.5 “Big Bird” to the Caribbean Sea and spent the winters cruising the islands.

Active in the community, he was a Boy Scout leader, president of the Great Harbors Neighborhood Association, trustee of the Marion-Bermuda Race and commodore of both the Blue Water Sailing Club and the Moody Boat Owner’s Association.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Rony Sebok, and Tom Sebok and his wife, Elizabeth; and three grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held next summer. Contact the family for details.
