What a lovely day. The panel talk and readings at Barnes and Noble South Portland went amazingly well. Big crowd up front; appreciative crowd as an audience. I am so grateful for it all. Thanks to Thriving contributors Tony Tremblay, Cynthia Graae, Rick Wing, Jeffrey Clapp, Alice Timmins, Jeanne Julian and Judy Sandler for playing along. Maine: I'll be back!

Thriving: An Anthology will be at Market Block Books in Troy, NY. Gotta love indie bookstores.

Goodreads Five-Star Review
June 20, 2024

Thriving, An Anthology (Exsolutas Press, 2024), edited by Rhonda Rosenheck, is a creative and innovative exploration of a vital topic too often overlooked in our modern pursuit of human well-being. Instead of the clichéd ‘recovery narratives,’ diets, and health fads that flood our bookstores and television talk-shows, the authors and artists who Rosenheck has assembled in this volume examine the passions, memories, connections, and daily encounters that infuse people’s lives with enthusiasm, gratitude, and purpose. There are beautifully crafted poems, short stories, photographs and personal accounts here that delve into the ways friendship, the natural world, intimacy, spirituality, creativity and an acknowledgement of mortality allow people to thrive at every stage of life, and in a wide range of circumstances. Rejecting formulas and simplistic lists of ‘steps’ to a better life, the book features the lived experiences of individuals who have learned that we can each forge our own path to a thriving life.
