The Rhode Island Police Chiefs Association held its annual awards yesterday, and our very own Sgt. Russ Brown was named Community Police Officer of the Year. The award was presented by Chief Thomas Oates of the Woonsocket Police Department, with Colonel Michael Lima of the Warwick Police Department in attendance. Congratulations, Sgt. Brown!

The Warwick Police Department and the Norwood Boys & Girls Club would like to thank Cardi’s Furniture for their generous support of our 2025 Toy Drive. We received three large boxes of toys, which will help spread holiday cheer to children and families in the Warwick community this Christmas. : The FBI and Providence Rhode Island Police Department are releasing new images of a person of interest in the mass shooting at Brown University on 12/13/25. The is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the individual. Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or the Providence Police Department at 401-272-3121.
