Hello Beacon Community,

Thanks again for contributing to the success of the Community Beacon newspaper between 2013-2017. It was such a very rewarding experience to work with you and George to publish a free bilingual (sometimes trilingual) newspaper distributed in hundreds of local businesses and thousands of homes. Our goal was to provide a voice for local community members, and my unstated goal was to follow the wise saying: “Comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.” (Finley Peter Dunne)

It’s been a while and I bet you forgot I exist! It’s OK. I hope you have been well!

Since giving up the Beacon, I completed my dissertation and doctorate degree as Cal State LA, and more importantly, I have spent more quality time with my wife and daughters. Just about 7 days a week, I was coaching my daughters’ basketball teams at various recreation centers (El Sereno, Hazard, Montecito, Chevy Chase, Lake Street, Garcia, City Terrace) and weekend club tournaments and shoot outs and soccer teams (at El Sereno Recreation Center, Almansor Park). And when I was not coaching, I was an avid supporter at all their games.

I am so proud that both, Luisa (Sophomore) and Ines (Freshman) are taking all the Honors and AP classes available to them and are on the Honor Roll at Wilson High School, they were starting guards on the Varsity Basketball team, and they play for the Downtown Los Angeles Soccer Club - a brand new team this year that moved up to the Silver division already. Both had just started training and competing for the Track Team in the sprints.

Now that our daughters are older and more annoyed with my attention, I have been able to renew my real estate broker’s license and assist home buyers and sellers. Two quick plugs for my business:
1)Working as an independent broker, I can do things in terms of commission reductions for sellers and commission rebates for buyers, as I no longer pay the extra fees that I used to pay at Century 21: supervising broker, 2 company owners, office manager, transaction coordinator, administration fee, pre-paid legal, and C21 franchise fee. I am able to pass along those savings to my clients, so buyers SAVE and sellers NET more money.
2) In addition, I am able to share with prospective buyers, off-market properties in their desired area. When a qualified buyer tells me where they want to buy, I invest $2,000 of my own money to find home sellers in their desired area to facilitate a private sale.

With your permission, I will email you a quick email update, once a month, to remind you that I am in real estate and am available to serve you and anyone you want to refer. I promise I will not spam you! Feel free to text or call me anytime.

If you would prefer that I use a different email for you, or if you want to unsubscribe, please let me know. Thank you for reading this entire email.

For purposes of information you might want to view the following excerpt from a video of an UNPERFORMED LA32NC motion that could assist in resolving the problem.

This is the city: Los Angeles, California. I work here. I'm an ex-mayor. Los Angeles is a magnet for people from all over the world. Some of them run for public office. Inevitably some of them stray from the golden rule and rule for those that have the gold. That's when I go to work. My name is Yort...
