Dominican Jean Joseph-a trailblazer reshaping the narrative on business ethics and success in the US.
As we culminate the observance of Black Heritage Month here in America, I pause to focus on the success of a Black owned business here in the US owned & operated by Dominican daughter of the soil Ms Jean Joseph.
Jean Joseph a Certified public accountant (CPA) who moved to the US in 1978 has been serving the Brooklyn, New York community for almost three decades through her business practice “Joseph Tax and Consulting Services Inc”.
During that time she has distinguished herself as a well respected and reputable CPA through her dedication and competency.
Ms Joseph who worked as a teacher for 10 years in Dominica at the St. Martin’s Vocational prior to migrating to the US is an expert in tax planning, estate, trust and gift tax. She specializes in the audit and taxation of not-for-profit organizations.
Mis Joseph earned her credentials having graduated with a BS in Accounting from the Pace University.
Just recently Ms Joseph extended her business services from her main office location at 1208 E 49th Street, Brooklyn New York and is now attending to additional clients at the Kings Plaza Mall in Brooklyn.
Ms Joseph currently serves as an executive member on the board of the New York State society of Certified Public Accountants for the Queens/Brooklyn chapter and has been recognized by several organizations for her outstanding work both in her accounting business and the community.
Her community involvement has not only been concentrated in the US. In recent years she has made several contributions to less fortunate citizens in Dominica through her scholarship fund and donations to vulnerable groups and children through the Mayor’s office in Roseau.
Miss Joseph, an outstanding Dominican born professional among her many hats is currently the president of the Brooklyn Canarsie Lions club and embodies what true leadership and service to others is.
It’s truly my pleasure to feature her and provide that exposure as a Dominican self made business woman who has and continues to excel in the diaspora. I hope this will serve as an inspiration to us Dominicans who have entrepreneurial dreams, yes they can be achieved through proper mindset, hard work and resilience.
That said if you are in a situation where you need some assistance in filing your taxes this season don’t hesitate…feel free to reach out to her on 718 338 6852. You will be happy you did.
