We are so very sad to hear the news that our friend Mike Thrasher has passed away. He was a great friend of Funemployment Radio!, a big supporter of the Portland Podcast Festival, and a dear buddy of ours. Thank you Mike for all you have done for creativity & music in Portland, and for all of your support and friendship over the years; we will miss you very much ❤️

Hello everyone!

As you may have noticed, we have not announced a date for this year’s . After a great deal of careful consideration, we’ve decided to wait until early 2020 for the next iteration of the show.

We have enjoyed such incredible support from you over the past three years and, as such, we want to make sure we honor that support by bringing you the best event possible. Rest assured that we find the Portland podcast community truly incredible and we look forward to hosting a great celebration of it with you all next year!

Dear podcasters, podcast listeners and fans of the Portland Portland Podcast Festival,

We want to again say thank you so much for your support of the Podcast Podcast Festival! The past two years have been tremendously fun and gratifying for us to highlight so many of the wonderful local podcasts Portland has to offer and we are truly looking forward to this year's !

We also wanted to let everyone know that we’re aware of Listen Up, the podcast festival also happening in town this month, and to say thank you to all who have reached out to us about it with your concerns.

The Listen Up festival appears to have somewhat of a different focus than PPF by solely featuring shows from outside the Portland area that are performing at various locations in order promote an interest in tourism. We certainly feel that there’s enough room at the table for other shows and we are so blessed to be in a creative community that loves the medium of podcasting as much as we do.

We look forward to bringing you an even bigger and better lineup later this year, while still keeping with our mission of uplifting the amazing podcasting talent here in Portland, Oregon, as well as incorporating nationally-recognized shows that fit in with the vibe of the PPF.
