This Friday, Sept. 26, all northbound travel lanes on I-95 North will be shifted to the right and narrowed between Exits 33 and 35.

This is being done so that crews can work on the Broad Street and Eddy Street bridges.

With 13 officers on leave recovering from injuries they got on duty, the Providence Police Department has been forced to rely on overtime and callback shifts to maintain minimum staffing. Alexandra Leslie - Journalist reports on what this means for the department — and for city taxpayers.

As of Sept. 9, Col. Oscar Perez said 13 officers were listed as injured on duty. Most had been injured this year and in 2024, with one exception.
