"Taken from the southwest side of Woodward Avenue, looking northeast at the Thanksgiving Day Parade, as it heads south down the thoroughfare. The featured float includes men, dressed as Revolutionary War soldiers pulling the float with Santa and his reindeer resting atop many snow-covered homes. The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store is visible behind the float. The photographer's name and geographic location are stamped on the verso, "Pictures that Tell a Story, Joe Clark, H.B.S.S., Photographic Studios, 11 Arcadia Bldg., 3513 Woodward Ave., Detroit 1, Michigan."⁣

Ternstedt Plant on Coldwater Rd

The Ternstedt plant on Coldwater Rd. was originally built during the Korean War. It was to be used for making parts of the J-65 jet engine, but the war ended and it became a small parts plant. They made the emblems and mirrors and such for G.M.
