HIGHLIGHTS from the Templeton Town Report of Jan. 9, 2026
Flu Type A is running rampant through the schools and homes in the state. If you don’t feel well please stay home to avoid further spread.

Property tax bills were mailed for the third and fourth quarters. The third quarter is due February 2. If you don’t receive one, please call the Tax Collector's office at 978-894-2763.
Commitment 6 for motor vehicle/excise demands are due Tuesday, January 13. Please note: The RMV has not released the first commitment for 2026 currently. Not every resident will have an excise bill that needs to be paid.
Templeton remains in a Level 2 Significant Drought with a portion in Level 1 Mild Drought.

A Board of Health regulation in lieu of zoning bylaws for a Citizens' Petition group is being considered. A regulation will drafted.
Scout Hall construction continues: sheet rock is complete and wainscoting installed. Plans for next week include paint, gutters, flooring in lobby and start insulation.
Parks & Recreation has updated its Basketball registration form and is in the process of updating Softball, Soccer and T-Ball registrations forms.
Through December 27, 2025, there were 22 molecular tests for COVID-19 with two positive results in Templeton.
The Library Stitching Group began work on wine-cork bulletin boards.
TCTV metrics: Year-end, quarterly, and December audience metrics show healthy increases. Montachusett.TV website shows steady audience gains, to nearly 5,000 views a month.
