THE Jerbil Prodcutions Huge Update Of Massive Proportions:
Folks may have been wondering what is going on with Jerbil Productions (or not, but whatever). As a matter a fact, there's been a variety of personal reasons, excuses, scheduling issues and more. Most importantly, Robert recently broke free from the world of retail and got a job working as a graphic designer and I couldn't be more happy/proud of my friend. For most people this would mean the end of this silly little "company", but despite my motivation problems here and there, and whatever else, I'm not like most people. Every day I think of what I'd ultimately like to see this become and we are far from dead. So without further ado, here are the statuses of some projects we have going on:
STEALTHY DRUNK - This is a project we've been working on for almost two years now, and it is a short that I am extremely proud of. It stars myself as a drunk teen who must sneak back into his house late at night, and there are lots of references to my favorite stealth videogames. We are just a scene away from wrapping up with filming, and we just have to add the sound effects and music. You can expect this to be the first thing to revitlaize our channel. Look for this in - EARLY JULY.
YOUTUBE REVAMP - When we first began, we wanted to create a channel in which you'd be able to see constant updates and new original, funny, content. Today, I am working to write an archive of short scripts that we can slowly turn into films to bank and begin the process of getting our channel back on track. Starting with Stealthy Drunk, you can expect this in - EARLY JULY.
The Last Party - For a little bit over a year, I've changed my mind on what I'd like my big project to be, and at first I thought at zombie comedy would be fun, but it lead to a lot of questions that I was in no place to answer or get the resources to answer. So instead I started writing something a little bit easier to start with for a big first project, and also something that I consider to be quite a bit funnier and more relate-able. I am currently still writing this script and I wouldn't even like to speculate on a possible date at the moment.
And finally,
Small Town Zombie Folk - As mentioned previously, this was a project I thought I was ready for, but ended up needing to take a step back. I'd really like to see this come back to life, and have lots of different ways to experiment with the material, but for right now, it is not on the top priorities list. Down the road, I will be releasing clips that we shot and a few behind the scenes shots as proof that we did have something! If anything, if I can get it in me to finish one feature length film in the next few years then this will be the second one we tackle.
That's all for now, thanks for bearing with the long postings. Stay tuned, and if you'd like more of us, check out www.mediapodsmash.com for our weekly podcast!
