🇱🇷 CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: PRESIDENTIAL CLEAN CITIES INITIATIVE

The Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs, is inviting eligible Liberians and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) to apply for participation in the Presidential Clean Cities Initiative (PCCI).

The initiative, championed by H.E. President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., seeks to support cleaner public spaces, promote environmental responsibility, create short-term employment opportunities for young Liberians, and strengthen community ownership.

Who Can Apply?
🇱🇷 Liberians between the ages of 18 and 35 years
🤝 Community-Based Organizations (CBOs)

Application Period: September 15–22, 2026

The first phase of the initiative will cover 8 counties, 14 cities, and 1 township, with implementation scheduled for October 1–December 31, 2026.

* Montserrado: Monrovia, Paynesville
* Margibi: Kakata City, Unification City, Schieffelin Township
* B**g: Gbarnga, Totota
* Nimba: Ganta, Sanniquellie, Tappita
* Lofa: Foya, Voinjama
* Bomi: Tubmanburg
* Grand Gedeh: Zwedru

Eligible young Liberians are encouraged to apply through the online application form (links below) or their local City Corporation. CBOs may also apply through the designated CBO application process (link below).

Liberia joins the global community in celebrating International Identity Day 2026 under the theme, “My Identity, My Shadow. Never Apart.”

The observance highlights the importance of legal identity and the right of every person to be recognized and access essential services.

In Liberia, the day draws attention to the importance of birth registration, national identification, and inclusive identity systems, particularly for children and vulnerable communities.

Stakeholders are using the occasion to promote greater awareness and encourage citizens to obtain and maintain valid identity documents.

The message is simple: Every identity matters, and no one should be left behind.

‎According to the NIMBO Diaspora Chapter, the special honoring program is organized to deeply appreciate President Joseph N. Boakai Sr. for his exceptional leadership, vision, and governance since taking office.

‎The Vision Bearer and founder of NIMBO, Deputy Speaker Hon. Thomas P. Fallah, along with his executive team, is currently traveling to the United States to grace this historic occasion and celebrate Liberian President Joseph Boakai.

“THE MACHINES ARE FINALLY HERE! LIBERIA’S FARMS ARE GETTING MORE POWER.

A Major boost for Liberian agriculture! The first batch of agricultural machinery has arrived at the Freeport of Monrovia, marking another important step in the Ministry of Agriculture’s mechanization drive under the able leadership of Agriculture Minister Dr. J. Alexander Nuetah.

The shipment includes 24 tractor heads, 8 semi-trailers, 8 trucks and 8 towing vehicles, part of 306 pieces of agricultural machinery and equipment being brought into Liberia. The second and final batch, packed in 42 containers, is expected by September 26.

For farmers, the machines mean less backbreaking manual labor, faster land preparation, more acres under cultivation, and greater opportunity to produce more food.

The equipment will support 13 Agricultural Mechanization Service Centers across Nimba, Montserrado, Bomi, Margibi, B**g, and Lofa Counties, where farmers will have access to mechanized services at affordable rates.

But bringing in the machines is only part of the plan. The Ministry is also investing in Liberians to operate, maintain, and keep the equipment running. Following a recent call for expressions of interest for machinery operators, Chinese technicians are expected in early October to conduct 40 days of hands-on training beginning October 10 at CARI in Suakoko, B**g County.

The training will build local capacity to operate and maintain the machinery, helping ensure the equipment remains functional and available to farmers for years to come.

Machines are arriving. Liberians are being trained. Farmers will have greater access to mechanization.

More machines. More acres. More food. Agricultural mechanization is moving from plan to reality.
