Hi, I’m Mikaela 👋🏼
And I’ve been dealing with ovarian cysts for years…
If you’ve ever had one rupture, you already know, that pain will take you OUT.
I’ve been to doctors and was told birth control is one of the main things that can help manage them, but because of my past (Paylin, Brently 😂), that’s just not an option for me. At 34, I’m not trying to restart the newborn stage lol.
So I’ve had to figure out what helps on my own, and I wanted to share in case it helps another woman going through it 🤍
💛 What helps me during a flare/rupture:
• HOT bath (my #1) – I make it a little hotter than body temp and soak. This gives me the fastest relief out of anything.
• Heating pad – if I can’t get in the tub, this is next best
• Tylenol – takes the edge off (follow directions of course)
• Curling up / laying on my side – weirdly helps relieve some pressure
• Drinking water – I try to stay hydrated during it
• Stopping everything & resting – pushing through it makes it worse every time
✨ I know everyone’s body is different, but if you’re dealing with this too, I hope at least one of these helps you.
And please if your pain ever feels extreme, different, or just “not right,” go get checked.
💬 If you deal with ovarian cysts, what helps YOU?
Let’s help each other out because this is something people don’t talk about enough 🤍
(Feel free to share this so it can reach someone who might need it 🙏🏼)
