Join us for MaGiK MOVIE TIME, a special collection of short animated films at Book & Puppet. Enjoy a unique mix of rare animated shorts inspired by art, music, dance, poetry, books, and our city of Easton. The program will also feature Imagine by John Lennon, a song whose message remains timeless and meaningful in every chapter of history.

MaGiK World and Book & Puppet invite you to MaGiK Movie Time, a special Saturday film series running February 7–March 28, 2026, from 12:00–12:45 PM.

Each half-hour program features short animated films produced by Easton-based MagiK World Studio. The selection includes films from HBO’s Classical Baby series (Art, Music, Dance, and Poetry), shorts from Sesame Street, and Trouble the Cat from Cartoon Network, along with many other delightful animations. We will also screen animated adaptations of beloved children’s books such as Where the Wild Things Are, Knuffle Bunny, and Duck for President, as well as films inspired by and created in Easton.

Each screening will be followed by a brief talk about the process of classic 2D animation. The program is designed for all ages, and everyone is warmly welcome.

I always associate this time of year with Karl Stirner… This film is a tribute to Karl Stirner, one of the most influential sculptors in Easton. For those who don't know, he is called the "Father of the Easton Art Community."

Tropics

An animated version of a poem by one of the Harlem Renaissance’s most influential poets, Festius Claudius “Claude” McKay.
