2,500 STREAMS AND DOWNLOADS.
iHeart Radio.
All on the same day.

June 2, 2026 is a day I won't forget.

Let me put this in perspective.

I started The Continental Exposure Studios Universe podcast in March 2018 with a microphone, a mission, and the stubborn belief that a kid from the Eastside of Detroit had something worth saying to the world.

No major label. No network deal. No marketing budget. No publicist.

Just a vision. A work ethic forged in the United States Navy and the United States Army. And the discipline to show up — week after week, year after year — even when nobody was watching.

Today, somebody is watching.

On this same day — June 2, 2026 — two things happened:

The Continental Exposure Studios Universe hit 2,500 streams and downloads on Spotify.

And we went live on iHeart Radio.

One of the largest audio platforms in the world. 150 million registered users. And as of today, we're in the building.

I'm not going to pretend I didn't feel something when I saw that Spotify card. When I thought about where this started and where it is right now — on the same day — in the same moment.

Because this is what perseverance actually looks like.

It's not poetic. It's not glamorous. Most days it doesn't feel heroic.

Most days it looks like recording an episode when you're exhausted. Writing the newsletter when the numbers are slow. Building systems when the results aren't showing up fast enough. Staying disciplined when quitting would be easier.

And then a Tuesday comes along.

And everything lands at once.

2,500 streams and downloads.
27 countries.
6 continents.
iHeart Radio.
All on June 2, 2026.

To every listener in Detroit, Vietnam, Brazil, Egypt, South Korea, Iraq, Germany, Senegal, Australia — and every country in between — you made this possible. You tuned in. You subscribed. You shared. You showed up.

This milestone belongs to you as much as it belongs to me.

And we're just getting started.

Find us on iHeart Radio, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and everywhere you get your podcasts.

Pay attention to the rooms you're in.

Not just physically.
The conversations.
The tables.
The circles.

Proximity is a strategy.

The room you're in shapes your thinking.
Calibrates your standard.
Expands — or limits — what you believe is possible.

Some rooms are making you smaller
and you don't even know it.

Some rooms you haven't walked into yet
because you don't think you belong.

You belong.

Get in the room.
Then bring someone else in with you.

That's how it works.

Full piece in this week's CXS Brief.

The thing that makes you different
isn't your credentials.

It isn't your equipment.
Your platform.
Your production quality.

It's your story.

And most people are hiding it.

Burying the real parts.
Sanitizing the struggle.
Presenting the highlight reel
and wondering why nothing connects.

Here's what I know:

The moment I started writing from the scar
instead of the wound —
everything changed.

People don't connect to perfection.
They connect to honesty.
To the version of you that failed.
Rebuilt. Kept going.

Your story isn't a liability.
It's your most powerful asset.

Stop hiding it.

I want to say thank you.

Not the kind of thank you you say because it's expected. The kind you say when you mean it in your bones.

When I entered The People's Artist competition, I made a decision. Win or lose — I was going to fly the flag of my life. No performance. No highlight reel. Just the truth of who I am and where I come from.

A kid from Detroit's East Side.
A son of Syvira and Jordan Eaton.
A Navy veteran. An Army veteran.
A photographer. A broadcaster. A filmmaker. A publisher.
A Sigma, a Mason, an Elk.
A builder who never asked for permission.

I placed 17th in a national competition — with minimal support, no campaign budget, and nothing but this community and this work to stand on.

17th. In a national field. With the flag flying the whole time.

I am not disappointed. I am grateful.

To every person who voted — once or every single day — you gave me something I will carry for the rest of my life. You saw the flag and you stood under it with me. That is not a small thing. That is everything.

To everyone who shared the link, sent the text, told a friend, dropped it in a group chat — thank you. You showed up for a Detroit kid the way Detroit always has — quietly, completely, without fanfare.

To my mother Syvira, whose 95th heavenly birthday fell in the middle of this campaign — Mama, I flew it for you. I knowyou saw it from where you are.

The competition is over. The work is not.

The camera is still loaded. The microphone is still on. The stories are still waiting to be told. The unknown is still waiting to be made known.

This is still Continental Exposure Studios.

9 hours left in today's voting window.

I'm at 17th. I need to climb.

This is the moment where the people who've been meaning to vote actually vote.

Free. 60 seconds. Resets at midnight.

Everyone's looking for the growth hack.

The viral formula.
The posting time that beats the algorithm.
The format that blows up overnight.

And I get it.
I looked for shortcuts too.

But the creators I've watched build real, durable audiences?

They weren't the cleverest.
They weren't the most talented.

They were the most consistent.

Showing up when it wasn't performing.
Showing up when nobody was watching.
Showing up when quitting would've been easier.

Consistency isn't glamorous.
It doesn't make for a great case study.
It doesn't go viral.

But it compounds.

And compounding is the only strategy
that never goes out of style.

Round 2 is live.

First — thank you. Round 1, you showed up. You voted daily. You shared the link. You told your people. Because of you, I competed, I climbed, and I made it to Round 2.

That's not nothing. That's everything.

Now here's what you need to know:

A new round means the vote count resets. Which means every person who voted in Round 1 needs to come back and vote again — starting today.

I'm currently ranked #18 in Round 2. The top 10 is the target.

We've already proven this community can move. Now let's prove it again — louder.

One free vote. Every 24 hours. Same link. New round. Let's go. 🖤

I raised my right hand twice.

Once for the Navy. Once for the Army. Both times I meant it.

I served in the Gulf War. I deployed with the 101st Airborne in Operation Iraqi Freedom. I came home and I built — because that's what veterans do when the uniform comes off. We find the next mission.

Mine has been art, media, and storytelling. It has been Continental Exposure Studios, Galaxy FM, Lens On Fire, LegacyLock. It has been 40+ countries listening to a broadcast built from Detroit with no corporate backing and no permission from anybody.

Right now my mission is The People's Artist competition. ARTFORUM Magazine. $25,000. A national platform for this work.

I'm ranked 14th. Every vote is a step up.

If you've ever believed that veterans deserve to be seen and honored beyond a holiday and a handshake — vote for one today.

Free. Daily. 60 seconds.

Today my mother, Syvira Eaton, would have been 95 years old.

She's been gone for some time now. But I still feel her in every room I enter, every camera I pick up, every word I put on the page.

She raised a boy from Detroit who grew up to be a Navy and Army veteran, a broadcaster, a photographer, a filmmaker, a publisher, a fraternity man, a Mason, an Elk — a builder.

She believed in me before I believed in myself.

Today, I'm competing in The People's Artist — a national competition with a feature in ARTFORUM Magazine and $25,000 for the winner. I'm currently ranked 16th.

I'm not asking you to give me anything.

I'm asking you to give something to her memory. A free vote. Once a day. 60 seconds.

Because I know if Syvira Eaton were here today, she would have already shared this link with everybody in her phone.

Honor her with me. 🖤
