I LOVE WHAT I GET TO DO EVERY DAY. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

I can't believe I get to wake up every day and use my skills toward something I genuinely love while also living out my purpose.

It's incredibly rare to find people who care about the community as deeply as you do. People who lead with intention and remain committed to serving the world around them. I get to work alongside the best of the best as we serve our residents and our community.

Every day I'm reminded how lucky I am to be surrounded by these people. Our community is truly better because of them. โค๏ธ

My brain grew 200% after this Happy Hour! ๐Ÿ˜‚

I swear to the Universe, Jason Sole and I are always locked innnn.

We don't just dream about what's possible, we spend our time figuring out how to make it freaking real. We both deeply believe in building a world where this generation and the next can be healthier, safer, happier, and more connected than the one we inherited.

A few hours of nonstop conversation, strategy, laughter, and big ideas about community, healing, leadership, and social change.

(..and in the middle of it all, we witnessed a super cute surprise proposal!)

A reminder that hope, love, and possibility are everywhere if we're paying attention. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

For a long time, I thought being "healthy" meant constantly pushing to be perfect.

Overachieving. Overproducing. Overgiving. And gosh darn it, did I wear burnout like a freaking badge of honor.

It seriously took me years to realize that constantly abandoning yourself to achieve more is not wellness. It's a form of self neglect and self abandonment wrapped up in the prettiest bow.

I think a lot of women were taught to endure before we were truly taught to self empathize.

But.

After many years of rewiring, I now see wellness completely differently.

My mind, body, and spirit are my temple, and the quality of my life is directly tied to how well I care for all three areas.

Healing happens in community, and I believe some of the most transformative thing a woman can experience is being in a room where she feels seen, safe, and heard.

And so thatโ€™s why I said YES to the Reclaim Our Plate event.

๐ŸฅALRIGHT YALLโ€ฆ Ready? *DRUM ROLL*

I am so excited to announce our Emcee for Reclaim Our Plate event!

When I envisioned who I wanted to facilitate this day to create a welcoming/fun and safe space for Asian women across the Twin Cities to have heart felt health conversations, eat good food and walk us through the fun activities to connect us to our bodies, I had to bring on the one and only Sheng Elizabeth Lor. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

She is a Hmong woman, media producer, community storyteller, and advocate whose work centers culture, healing, access, and representation.

Sheng is the founder of HAVEN, a womenโ€™s wellness initiative focused on healing, personal growth, and creating intentional spaces for connection and community. With a background as a social worker in mental health, Sheng brings a deep understanding of emotional wellbeing and care into all that she does. Through her work in cultural media and public service, she is passionate about helping people feel seen, supported, and informed. She believes in the power of telling our own stories, caring for larger community, and building pathways for wellness, belonging, and collective healing.

What helps Sheng stay consistent in her health/fitness journey:
โ€จโ€œWhat helps me stay consistent is remembering that taking care of myself is not about perfection. It is about coming home to myself. My health and wellness journey is rooted in wanting to feel strong, grounded, confident, and present in my mind, body, and soul. As someone who pours deeply into community, work, and others, I have learned that caring for myself has to be part of the work too. My why is to build a life where I feel healthy, whole, and aligned, so I can continue to show up fully for myself and the people I serve.โ€

Today, Ramsey County officially opened the newly renovated Government Center in Saint Paul with county leaders, staff, partners, media, and community members in attendance.

The event included opening remarks, a ribbon cutting, and tours of the updated spaces, including Community Corrections, CareerForce, and the Service Center.

Our leaders shared that the renovation was designed to improve accessibility, simplify how residents navigate services, and bring more departments together in one central location. Tours also highlighted updates focused on safety, accessibility, staff collaboration, and resident experience.

The project has been underway for several years and reflects ongoing efforts to modernize public service spaces and improve how residents access county resources.
