Consider reading and reviewing these titles on Goodreads, or Amazon.com if you’re not yet a CE author.
Our titles were well received during awards season—wins and nominations across several categories—and we showed up in the real world, too: book fairs, conversations and hand-to-hand bookselling, including RAINTAXI’s wonderfully successful Twin Cities Book Festival at its smart new location in the Saint Paul Union Depot. We were proud to sponsor the event, share tables with Afton Press, and watch our attending authors sell a lot of books and have a great time doing so. We also gave away 500 free books—because sometimes the best marketing is a good book in someone’s hands.
We canceled our holiday party due to a snowstorm, but we will try to host a gathering in the new year where authors—new & established—and vendors can rub shoulders in person.
Our publishing model—launched in 2014, the first of its kind at the time—continues to go from strength to strength in an ever-changing (and often frustrating) publishing climate.
2026:
We’ll attend the London Book Fair, March 10-12 to present selected titles to foreign publishers, and launch the first novel in a high-octane trilogy by teenage Lithuanian/British author Adrijus Kveda.
Our books will also be represented throughout the year at rights shows in New York, Beijing, Frankfurt, and Guadalajara.
And, as promised, we’re undertaking a complete rebuild of our website—state-of-the-art, with the explicit goal of giving our authors more visibility and hopefully sell more books.
We already have over 20 new titles slated for 2026, so if you have a new project in the works, please contact us soon. We’re expanding our publishing program, and we’d like to consider your next book for inclusion. Soft deadline: January 31.
Our offices will be closed on December 24-26, and January 1-2.
On behalf of Gary, Josh, Blake, Georgia, Emily, Rick and Susan, I wish you all the most pleasant of season’s greetings, and here’s hoping that everyone involved with the Calumet Editions enterprise prospers in the new year!
Warmly,
Ian Graham Leask
