We’re delighted to see "Little Rex: A Night at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery" making its way to Concord, Massachusetts, where the story’s literary ghosts and living readers can meet in the perfect setting.

Gary Porter’s intrepid Boston Terrier takes readers on a wonderfully imaginative journey through Sleepy Hollow Cemetery on the Day of the Dead, encountering some of America’s great literary figures along the way, including Henry David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Louisa May Alcott and other Concord legends.

Thank you to Barrow Bookstore and The Friends of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery for helping bring Little Rex to such a fitting audience and place.

Author Gary Porter will speak about the book on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 2 PM at Concord’s Colonial Inn. Reservations are required by September 9 through The Friends of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.

Little Rex, the fictional and intrepid literary Boston Terrier, is coming to Concord Massachusetts! Hosted by The Friends of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, author Gary Porter will speak about book, LITTLE REX: A NIGHT AT SLEEPY HOLLOW CEMETERY, a tale of a little dog who finds himself in Concord's Sleepy Hollow Cemetery on the night of the Day of the Dead when ghosts of American's greatest authors rise from their graves! Henry David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Louisa May Alcott, and the Concord greats accompany the plucky Little Rex on a night of adventure set in Concord!
