Condenser vs Dynamic Mics 🎙️

Did you know the type of mic you use can completely change how your recordings sound?

- Dynamics handle louder sources and reject more background noise making them perfect for home setups or live use.

Knowing when to use each can make all the difference when leveling up your recordings.

💡TIP - If your space isn’t treated or tends to be a bit noisy, a dynamic mic will help give you a cleaner sound.

SWIPE TO SEE BABY ME!

Okay… I wasn’t THAT young but I was still 19 years old here, just starting my journey with every ounce of doubt running through my veins.

But somehow I knew this is where I needed to be.

In all seriousness.. if I could go back and give my 19-year old self a pep talk, it would be this:

✨ You’re going to mess up…A LOT. But that’s exactly what you need to grow. So don’t stress about not having all the answers you want.

✨ Know who you are and where you came from, because if you don’t, the world will try to decide for you.

✨ The overwhelm of “playing big” is only temporary and is still way better than playing small. It’s only the result of trying something new.

✨ And finally… YOU are bigger than any of your biggest fears. Moving forward anyway, is real courage.

You have the dreams, the “ganas”, and a whole lot of potential…don’t waste it.

BONUS ADVICE: And PLEASE… put more fruit and veg in your body than Taco Bell & Ramen 😅

My 9 Essentials for Every Home Studio 🎧🎶

Of all of these, the last one is hands down my favorite.

Here’s why:

The only reason I even started producing music in the first place was because of the joy I found in creating. It was never about the gear. The gear is just a vehicle to get your vision out into the world.

The gear on this list can help you get pro results without overspending and are items I have personally used on my own journey.

Transformation doesn’t happen overnight.

Right now you might look at me and see someone that has:
- Pro-quality mixes
- Confidence in her sound
- A clear creative vision

But what you don’t see is all it took to get here:
- The hours spent in trial and error
- Countless moments of doubt
- Years of mastering the craft I love

Remember that no one is perfect! And most importantly…don’t compare your chapter 1 with someone else’s chapter 50.

When I’m not coaching, I’m usually finding something to sing about.

Before I even found my voice, so to speak, singing was the only way I knew how to truly express myself.

When I’m having a hard day, I pick up my guitar and sing.

When life feels too real and too much, I sing.

When I feel love and joy, I sing.

When I simply feel…I sing.

Even as a little girl, just finding her way, something in me knew that music would be the greatest way to express who I am.

I feel blessed to live this little creative life of mine and I’m grateful for all of it. The good, the bad, and the messy because it has led me here.

To a place where I can not only express myself the best way I know how, but to also help others express themselves in the best way too. 💛
