El palabra “checkpoint” bien legitimo chavacano. It’s been adopted by the chavacano speakers via nativization (linguistically speaking). The word “checkpoint” was coined in 1898(?). It became popular in the Philippines in th 1940s - Ese tiempo bien activo gayot aqui na Zamboanga el palabra ingles (por causa del maga Cano). Ya adapta kita con ese na diatun vocabulario. Igual como el palabra “chequea”, it is a loan word from English “check”.
