After a good sweat session, simply stopping isn’t always the best choice. Cooling down your body is equally important as warming up, and here’s why! 🔽

One key reason is that it aids muscle recovery. After pushing your muscles to their limits, a cool-down can boost blood flow and reduce muscle tension. This helps prevent injuries and support your cardiovascular health.

Dancing should be a joyful experience.

Yes, we do love a well-choreographed routine, but our goal is for you to enjoy the music, the process of learning, and dancing in general.

The pressure to know the steps isn’t what dance is about; it’s about having fun.

With over 15 years of experience leading Zumba classes, I create an energetic and welcoming environment where participants of all levels can thrive. My teaching philosophy emphasizes movement, fun, and accessibility—there is no “wrong” way to Zumba as long as you’re moving. I specialize in providing clear instruction with a variety of modifications to ensure everyone can participate comfortably, regardless of fitness level or experience. By combining cardio fitness with a fun, upbeat atmosphere, I help individuals achieve their personal health and wellness goals while building confidence and community.

We are so excited to have as a Guest Teacher for Barre these upcoming classes. You can catch McKenzie’s Barre class this Sunday 8/31, 9/21, 9/28

Meet McKenzie💗
I’m McKenzie! Movement has always been a part of my story. I grew up dancing and went on to earn my degree in dance, which gave me a deep appreciation for the way our bodies were created to move with strength and grace. Becoming a certified barre instructor has allowed me to combine my love for dance and movement with my passion for helping others find healing and wholeness. I believe that through breath and movement, we can experience restoration. Not just physically, but mentally and spiritually too.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me enjoying time with my husband, sweet toddler, and two doodles as well as serving in full-time ministry. My heart is to create a space in barre where you feel encouraged, challenged, and reminded that movement is a gift.
