The Philadelphia Trumpet

The Philadelphia Trumpet Accurately forecasting major events in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Anglo-America based on Bible prophecy. www.theTrumpet.com

The Trumpet uses a single overarching criterion that sets it apart from other news sources and keeps it focused like a laser beam on what truly is important. That criterion is prophetic significance. The Trumpet seeks to show how current events are fulfilling the biblically prophesied description of the prevailing state of affairs just before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

It took the United States 205 years to borrow its first trillion dollars.

It has borrowed 10 times that in the last 4½ years.

On Tuesday, America's national debt crossed $40 trillion.

Break that down and it's about $117,000 for every person in the country—$297,000 per household. The U.S. now owes roughly what the combined economies of China, Germany, Japan, Britain, and India produce in a year.

And it's not slowing down. Washington added $1.8 trillion to the debt last year alone. Just servicing that debt—the interest—will cost around $1.2 trillion this year. That's roughly $8 billion a day. $329 million an hour. $5 million a minute.

Meanwhile, federal agencies made $186 billion in improper payments in fiscal 2025 alone—part of nearly $3 trillion in improper payments since 2003.

Social Security is already projected to run dry in about seven years.

The Bible warned about this a long time ago: "The borrower is servant to the lender" (Proverbs 22:7).

At what point does a nation stop being able to borrow its way out of a hole this deep?

Last week, the most visible spokeswoman in American government stood at the most prominent podium in political communication—and walked away from it to be home with a 2-year-old and a newborn.

Karoline Leavitt, 28, announced that she will leave her White House press secretary post at the end of this month.

Her reason: Since returning to work after her daughter’s birth, she said, she cannot give the role all it demands and “be the best mom my two young children deserve.”

Good for her. Leavitt is not retreating from importance; she is advancing toward it. The nursery is not a lesser arena than the press room—it is greater.

For several generations, we have been progressively trained to think otherwise. A century ago, only about 1 married woman in 10 worked outside the home; today, it is nearly 3 in 4. Statistics on working mothers didn’t even exist before 1948.

As women migrated from being full-time mothers to being laborers, their children were left to themselves, and we were told this was progress.

Not only do children miss out—so do moms. Despite nonstop messages in media and entertainment to the contrary, Gallup polls find that majorities of employed mothers would rather be home with their children. Pew Research found that 74 percent of Americans say the movement of women into the workforce has made raising children harder; 60 percent say children are better off when a parent stays home to focus on them.

The natural inclination Leavitt followed is nearly universal—but largely suppressed by economic pressure and a society that treats homemaking as wasted talent.

Bringing up a child is not something you manage on the margins of a career. It demands your whole heart. A mother at home is doing the most consequential work there is: forming responsible human beings.

This is the pattern God built into the family. He instructs the older women to teach the younger “to love their children” and to be “keepers at home” (Titus 2:4-5).

The collapse of that calling is why God prophesied of a work in our day that would “turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers” (Malachi 4:5-6).

Can your family still afford a home in America?

For most, the answer is no.

🏠 75% of U.S. homes are now unaffordable to the typical American family. 💰 Median home price: $435,000 — requiring $113,000+ a year just to qualify. 📉 Median household income (both spouses working): $83,000. 📈 Home prices are up 54% since 2020. Wages? Up less than half a percent.

This isn't just a housing problem. It's the American dream slipping out of reach for an entire generation.

Fewer than 4 in 10 first-time buyers can now afford even a starter home. Meanwhile, Washington keeps printing money to paper over its debts — and everyday families are the ones paying the price through inflation.

One housing analyst is warning this could be worse than 2008

We believe this "affordability crisis" is about more than economics — it's a warning sign about the direction of a nation. See why here: https://www.thetrumpet.com/35357-americas-affordability-crisis

Have you ever proved God exists?

One of the strongest proofs is hiding in plain sight: Bible prophecy. It makes up about a third of the Bible—yet most churches barely touch it. Jesus Christ Himself was a prophet. Why do so many ignore what He and the prophets before Him forecast?

Which magazine tells you who "Assyria," "Babylon," "the king of the north" and "the king of the south" are today? Which one shows that Trump, Putin, Obama and a rising German leader were specifically foretold in Scripture?

Only one: the Philadelphia Trumpet.

In our August issue, editor in chief Gerald Flurry explains why Bible prophecy is one of the most powerful proofs God exists—and why ignoring it means ignoring a third of your Bible.

On July 6, China test-fired a nuclear-capable ballistic missile into the South Pacific—timed right as Australia signed a major defense agreement with Fiji. As Canberra scrambles to shore up alliances across the region, Beijing’s strategic show of force highlights the growing tension over influence in the Indo-Pacific. Was it a coincidence or a deliberate message? And what does this mean for you?

A TV station just pulled us off the air. Not for lying. Not for anything false.

The reason they gave us was: "concerns were over the clear association with Herbert Armstrong."

That's the offense. We kept saying his name.

Herbert Armstrong died 40 years ago. We still teach what he taught. He identified something modern Christian leaders refuse to touch: who Israel is today, and what Bible prophecy says will rise up in Europe. He named the nation. Germany.

Look at what's happening right now: a terror attack in Berlin this week, Germany turning more militaristic, Jordan's ambassador openly courting closer ties with Berlin, American strength collapsing across the Middle East. It's playing out exactly as prophesied.

This station manager singled out two doctrines. He said the concern was that Mr. Armstrong “promoted non-Trinitarian theology and also the belief that the Anglo-Saxons descended from the lost tribes of Israel.”

Those two doctrines show what God is doing on the earth. God is actively working on this earth--and it all revolves around the God family plan. Denying Bible prophecy and promoting the trinity shuts that all down.

Australian Honeybees: Destruction Beyond the Hive
It feels like a blight of biblical proportions. Ever since Varroa destructor mites invaded Australian shores in June 2022, a shadow has fallen over the nation’s honeybees. With a predicted 290,000-hive shortfall threatening crops across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia, agricultural leaders are bracing for impact. How did the world’s last bee sanctuary succumb to the curse? Join Australian correspondent Callum Wood as he discusses the story behind the devastation.

A German court had already convicted him. He was already sentenced to prison for planning a terror attack. And they let him walk free anyway.

Weeks later, Abdul Ballout drove a van into a crowd at Berlin's Pride parade, killing 1 and injuring 29, before police shot him dead.

This isn't a story about one attacker. It's a story about a pattern: Germany has now seen major Islamist vehicle-ramming attacks in 2016, 2024 and again this year — plus roughly 10 more across France and the UK since 2007. Each time, the warning signs were there. Each time, the system failed to act on them.

Chancellor Friedrich Merz called it "an attack on our society." But the deeper question is why a man already flagged as dangerous by Germany's own courts was free to carry it out.

Germany's refusual to confront this problem will drave the nation to a dangerous extreme.

🚨 Russia just accused Germany of secretly building nuclear weapons.

And here's the uncomfortable part: they might not be lying.

Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service claims Germany is running active nuclear weapons research across 30 universities — covering fissile materials, shockwave physics, and neutron physics. Their assessment:

☢️ Germany could produce the fissile material needed in 1–3 months
☢️ Germany could build an operational nuclear device within a year

Is this Russian propaganda? Almost certainly— Moscow has every reason to turn Germany's allies against it and distract from its own military buildup. But it could also be true.

Here's what should actually worry you: nobody is seriously disputing that Germany has the industrial capacity to do exactly this.

Winston Churchill once called Germany "a country fertile in military surprises." Russia's inteeligence survice writes: "the result of the experience of creating the 'Wunderwaffe' by N**i Germany is well known. Does history still teach you nothing?!"

Today, virtually no Western leader is sounding that alarm. The only ones raising the nuclear-Germany question loudly right now are Russian state propagandists — and that alone should unsettle you.

This isn't just a geopolitics story. It's a story about a nation quietly re-arming for war.

Do you think Germany would actually build its own nuclear weapons? Sound off below. 👇

🇬🇧🤝🇩🇪 Britain is now leaning on Germany to rebuild its own military — and celebrating it as a "golden age."

Here's what's actually happening:

⚙️ German AI firm Helsing opened a factory in the UK to build underwater surveillance drones
🔫 Rheinmetall is now manufacturing the guns for Britain's next-generation battle tank
🏭 German fi****ms giant Heckler & Koch just bought a UK precision-parts company
🚀 The "crown jewel": a joint long-range missile, built on German funding and British expertise

"We cast aside a Cold War-era view of Germany as passive and ineffectual," one UK security source told the Telegraph. Translation: Britain is handing its defense future to Berlin.

Here's what should concern people far more than it does: the Bible specifically prophesies that Britain will turn to Germany for help — and be betrayed by it.

This isn't a new theory. It's a warning that's been in print for decades, and it's playing out in real time.
