It is hot out there! Instead of measuring the heat, we are measuring the amount of books read this summer at the Effingham Community Library! We set a goal of 1000 books by July 31st. Check back on Wednesday to see our progress (hint: we are on pace to smash it!). Keep up the great work and don’t stop reading! A big thanks to library board member Hayleigh Diebolt for making the thermometer! It looks awesome!

There will be no in-house programming this week for Summer Reading. I will be on vacation tomorrow, but Miss Shirley will be here, so the library will be open. We will be closed on Friday July 4th! Next week, Wednesday July 9th, we will be making Dreamcatchers @ 10:30!

Summer Readers, we are almost halfway to our goal of 1000 total books read for the Summer! Keep up the great work! Reminder that there is no Summer Reading Program event next week (6/29-7/5) due to the holiday. We will be closed on Friday July 4th. We will be making Suncatchers on Wednesday July 9 @ 10:30. Enjoy the holiday week, and keep reading!
