Drowning is the number one cause of death in autistic children, primarily due to the heightened risk of wandering (elopement) into water sources, an attraction to water, and a lack of awareness of water's dangers. Prevention strategies include constant supervision, barriers like fences and pool alarms, and teaching children swimming and water safety skills at an early age. So here we are. Swim lessons 🏊🏼♀️💦
