Tamales, coffee, live music, healthcare and legal support filled the early morning hours at the 46th annual Farmworkers Appreciation Breakfast in Calexico. Beginning as early as 1 a.m., farmworkers gathered before heading to the fields to receive services, meals and information about their rights.

Community leaders, legal advocates and health workers emphasized that protecting farmworkers through education, healthcare access and reform remains essential to the well-being of Imperial Valley’s workforce.
