Kaiden was an organ donor. His heart went to save a life. The hospital gave this to the family as a reminder of his life and heart which beats now in another person.

14 years old. He survived for over three hours after he was shot. Kaiden deserves better than this.

On April 29, 2020 El Dorado Police Officers were dispatched to an address on S. Star St. in El Dorado, Kansas for a report of a 14 year old with a gunshot wound to the head. The juvenile was later pronounced deceased at a local hospital. Through the initial investigation, it was discovered that several juveniles had burglarized an abandoned house where fi****ms and ammunition had been discarded. One of the fi****ms stolen was used in the fatal shooting.

It was initially reported to investigators that this shooting was a possible su***de, however, with information from the Sedgwick County Medical Examiner and tips from the public, the death has been ruled “undetermined.” Investigators have continuously followed up leads provided by the community and have received assistance from local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. This case has remained open since the shooting has occurred as it has yet to be resolved.

The El Dorado Police Department would like to thank the public for all the tips received and can assure you we have been actively following-up on these leads. We are once again asking for our community’s help in identifying what happened on April 29, 2020. Unfortunately, this is all the information we can release at this time without parental consent.

For anyone who "found their friend with a gunshot," the room would cause a great deal of sadness, anxiety, perhaps flashbacks or more.
The floor and parts of a wall were stained with Kaiden's blood.
In June of 2020, two months after the death of Kaiden, several teens, including some that were at the home when the shot was fired, entered the home illegally to consume alcohol and drugs. This house was soon condemned and destroyed.

How do you feel about Kyra working with the elderly at a nursing facility in El Dorado?

We know who you are.
Kaiden went upstairs and you followed him. A gunshot went off and you ran away from your "friend" and your younger brother tried to hide the gun.
You lied so much you have tried to forget the truth.
But it haunts you.
You drink and smoke to cloud your spotty mind. Trying to mask the memories is more than you're capable of.
Look into the eyes of your baby. It's a shame you get to have a child, even though you murdered one.
He was only 14.
Enjoy those moments with your child, because justice will be served and one day your child will be seeing you at prison visitation.
Was it worth it, Kyra? Blake, are glad you lied for your sister?

"Every year, nearly 350 children age 17 and under gain access to a gun and unintentionally shoot themselves or someone else — sometimes fatally."


And in this case, NO charges against the teens who broke into a home to steal the gun because the defendant was not an adult at the time. BUT neither was Kaiden and he never got to age, to become an adult.
