As of 2025, Adam Herrman is still classified as an endangered missing person. After more than two decades, even the smallest detail could help bring answers. If you have any information—no matter how small it may seem—you are encouraged to contact the Butler County Sheriff’s Office at (316) 322-4254, the Crime Tip Hotline at (866) 484-5924, or email [email protected].

Alternatively, those unsure of reaching out to law enforcement directly, can send a DM to Everyday El Dorado

With the passage of Adam Joseph Herrman’s 38th birthday on June 8, law enforcement and advocates are once again asking the public to help shed light on a case that remains unsolved.

What if every fourth grader knew they had the power to change the world? Thanks to a generous donation from the Tim Underwood Memorial Foundation, and the passion of Kansas author Sierra Marie Bonn, students are discovering the innovators within themselves — one book at a time.

The title of her book is ‘Innovators: Women in History Who Made Positive Contributions to STEAM’.

Bonn recently visited Grandview Elementary where she gave a presentation and personally signed books for students in Mr. Shum and Mrs. Barker’s fourth grade classrooms.

“Fourth grade is the critical age where students begin to doubt their own potential to succeed in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. That doubt affects their entire future,” said Bonn.

“I want every student to know they are the next generation of innovators, and in order for them to do that, students must be encouraged at a young age and shown that they are capable.”

An interview with Sod & Stubble Writer/Director Ken Spurgeon.

Spurgeon’s film tells the story of the Ise family, who homesteaded in Osborne County during the 1870s. Based on the autobiographical novel by John Ise—with additional material added by Von Rothenberger in the 1990s—the story follows Henry and Rosie Ise as they battle hardships on the Kansas plains and build a life and legacy through grit and resilience.

“This story is a Kansas story but it’s also an American story,” said Spurgeon.
“It’s the story of people who were not from here, who made America very much their home. This was their dream; to carve out their little piece of America for themselves,” he said.

Filming took place in El Dorado, Wichita, and Downs, Kansas.
