El Dorado would close the game on an 18-2 run, powered by the entire team chipping in and the Lady Cats stunned Pratt to pick up their second win of the season and win third place at the Cardinal Classic in Cheney.

2-1, a record that's above .500 and it's the first time since 2007 they're above .500 after three games. Sure, there are 20 more left but this is more than a foundation to a program that hasn't picked up more than three wins since 2015. There hasn't been a winning season since 2005.

It feels different.

"There's a lot of doubt in us," senior Hadley said. "It feels good to go prove everyone wrong and that we're different this year. We're working really hard to achieve our goals."

For Emily O’Brien, winning has never been optional, whether it’s a game, a practice drill or a possession in December.

That competitive edge has defined the opening of her senior season at Re*****on and continues to shape everything she does on the floor.

“She’s a competitor,” Snyder said. “If she’s not winning, even in practice, she gets frustrated. That kind of competition brings out the best in everybody around her.”
