Subject: Appeal for the Release of Pastor Joubert Adrien
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing with deep concern regarding Pastor Joubert Adrien, a Haitian pastor currently listed in ICE custody in Ohio.
When a pastor—a shepherd of God’s people—is detained, the suffering reaches beyond one person. His family, congregation, and community are left frightened and feeling powerless. A shepherd matters to his flock.
We respectfully ask the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement to review Pastor Adrien’s detention and release him immediately, or grant him release through parole, bond, or any other lawful form of relief available. His continued detention is causing profound hardship to his family, congregation, and community.
We also ask that his dignity, due process, religious freedom, and legal rights be fully protected while his case is reviewed. If his rights were violated or he was unlawfully mistreated, we request accountability and appropriate compensation or other remedies permitted by law.
Haitians deserve the same dignity, justice, and protection under the law as everyone else. Please hear the cry of this community, release Pastor Adrien, and ensure that he is treated justly and humanely.
Respectfully,
Pastor Jean Jacob Jeudy
