It’s pretty incredible that Mia Barela, a class of ‘25 Taos High graduate (and KNCE DJ!), won 1st place in the Creative Lecture Competition at the Educators Rising NM State Conference in March. Even more remarkable, she’ll represent New Mexico at Nationals in Orlando later this month—and we all get to hear her award-winning talk live at the Bridges Project BRIDGEBuilders launch event Monday, June 23rd! This is more than a celebration. It’s the start of a new community — BRIDGEBuilders — for those who want to mentor, give, and walk alongside Northern New Mexico students on their journey to postsecondary education and career.
