Hey History Lovers - tune in to 100.1 Community Radio Sundays at 8pm to learn more about the history of Benzie County. Programming kicks off this Sunday, July 6th with 'Car Ferries in Ice' with Grant Brown. This program is made possible through a collaboration with the Benzie Area Historical Society and Museum, helping to connect people to the past through the vibrant story of our region.

There was a lot of community support for contestants in the Cabbage Shed cabbage eating contest. Taking home the prize in the youth category was Titus Grappin, with Dad Brian Grappin taking home the men's championship. Ainsley Myers came out on top in the Women's category after winning the past two years in the youth category. And everyone followed rule #1 "No puking!". See all of the contestants in the photos below.

Don't forget to pack a lunch and come over to the Village of Elberta to join us for a free lunchtime performance by the Cerus Quartet. Performance starts at 1pm, so plan to come over and grab your spot by 12:50pm if you can. We have some tables and chairs set up - but we're not sure how many folks will show up - so throw a couple folding chairs in the car if you have them.
