🚨 Flash Flooding Ongoing – Monday Midday Update

Moderate to heavy rain is falling between Sonora, Junction, Kerrville, and Uvalde, with the core of the activity just east of Del Rio.

⛈️ Rain is moving very slowly east, leading to:
▪ Flash flood warnings
▪ Rising rivers and creeks
▪ Flooded roads, especially in low-lying areas

If you're in the Hill Country or northern Edwards Plateau, stay alert for rapidly changing conditions. Even areas not currently seeing rain could still flood due to upstream runoff. Activity may make it closer to Interstate 35 later today and tonight.

Sunday, July 13th, 2025, South Concho River in Christoval crested at 9 feet at the Main Steet Bridge. The incident was documented by Tim Vasquez of San Angelo. The flood waters from northern Schleicher County contributed. The final destination was Twin Buttes Reservoir Equalization Channel at 8 am July 14th in San Angelo.

⚠️ FLOODING TRENDS WORSEN as heavy rains stagnate over portions of south central Texas to the Rio Grande...A MODERATE RISK of excessive rainfall has been placed across the affected region. Later on high rainfall rates could strike parts of the Austin to San Antonio region as well.
