Dispatch received a 911 hang up with follow up text messages requesting help. A subsequent caller reported that(name withheld) entered a home, attacked someone, and reportedly has a gun. Units were sent to an address on US 17 South.

Reckless driving complaint near Virginia State line

Officers received reports of a blue Chevy pickup driving carelessly near North Road Street and Chicken Corner Road close to the Virginia State line. A separate report involved a white box truck driving aggressively near a highway intersection and then pulling into a nearby business. Records indicated the registered driver associated with one of the vehicles may have a suspended license.

Deputies responded to a threats complaint near Food Lion on Weeksville Road, where a manager reported that a woman allegedly threatened to kill the caller before walking toward a nearby Chinese restaurant.

Suspicious person asking to use phones in neighborhood

Officers were sent to the area of Birdie Lane in Elizabeth City for a report of a suspicious man in dark clothing who was approaching people, asking to see their phones and about their service plans, and claiming to work for the city. Units noted he may match a person they had previously dealt with in the same area.
