🏁 This week Tyler Reddick made NASCAR history becoming the first driver ever to win the first three races of a NASCAR CUP Series season while driving for 23XI Racing, the team co-owned by Michael Jordan.

I’m generally not plugged into racing results but this one caught my attention. My friend and colleague Sovanna and I got to work on a project with Tyler back in 2022.

Prior to that project, I'm not sure I could have spelled NASCAR. Okay, I still don’t know anything about it. I have a 2 year old so I am more in my Cars and Lightning McQueen era, that’s as close as we get. That said, stepping into that world was a blast!

A week or two after the shoot we even made the trip up to Pocono Raceway to see it all in person.

I didn’t think I had any photos from that day but while digging through my files looking for something else, I came across this one.

One of the things I love about this work is getting to meet people who are elite at their craft. Whether that’s building things, educating children, solving business problems or driving stock cars.

Very exciting to see someone that was great to work with doing such big things. Congrats, Tyler!

🎥 A day with dogs!

It shouldn’t be a big secret that we love dogs. In particular of course, our office Golden Retrievers Bogey and Divot. That’s why it was so exciting to meet another Golden named Bogey in 2021 (left photo) on a shoot with our client.

Yesterday we were back for another shoot and bumped into the same... but a bit bigger good boy!

🎥 Don't interview the CEO!

We're sharing more from our talk a couple of weeks ago about how you can better leverage video for your organization.

Let's rephrase that initial point, don't automatically assume that the CEO is the person that you should interview. There are plenty of times in a video that we should be hearing from the CEO. That said, like the example in this video a recruiting video may not be the time that we want to hear from this person in the C- Suite.

Think intentionally about the message that you want to deliver. Consider the folks that you have in your organization and decide who is best positioned to deliver the story that you want to tell.
