Merry Christmas!

For those who don't know, we have recorded and airing a very special Christmas episode for Backstage, this coming Thursday.

The Elko High School Theatre Department presents a radio-theatre telling of "A Christmas Carol."
Based on the classic book by Charles Dickens.

We are airing it on our sister stations, Mix 96.7, Big Country 103.9, Coyote Rock 101.1 and 94.5 Elko's Christmas Music Station , tomorrow night, on Christmas Eve, at 6pm. :)

But if you cant catch it then, we will have another chance on Christmas Day at noon, here on Talk Radio 107.7.

These students have out done themselves and can't wait for you to enjoy the show.

We had some friendly faces from the Elko Brass Band, stop by the Backstage studio and give us a one on one about their upcoming appearances in town this season. :)

They are playing Dec 24th and 25th, in front of the Giving Machines. Giving Machines just had their launch party last week and will be open all season long, at the Elko Junction Shopping Center.

Cami Ge**er, Julie Eardley and Patty Fisk, wear MANY hats in the Elko Community Orchestra so tune in and hear all about them, and where to can listen to them this month and December. :)

The EHS Elko High School Theatre Department took the Readers Choice Award home for "Youth Activity" of the year!

The Elko High Theatre Department is at it again!

This time, they are brining SHAKESPEARE to life, in their fall show "A Midsummer Nights Dream."
It's a modern take on the theatre classic.
So come into the show knowing you'll understand each word. Lol. ;)

The show runs Nov 19-22.

You don't want to miss Backstage's episode, for this Tuesday, Oct 14th.

We have Myk Mendez, of Marvelous Beads and Fermina Stevens, Director of the Western Shoshone Defense Project.

They give us ALL the details on an upcoming Native American comic book they have been working on, with local artists and storytellers.

"The Living Saga of Land, Legacy and Resistance of the Western Shoshone People."
They are planning a special laugh party with the first 100 copies for free.
