Today, we pause in gratitude for the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage, service, and legacy will never be forgotten. ❤️🤍💙

Forever grateful to those who gave everything. We remember today and always.

📍 Memorial Day Service & Events in Elko today:
• 9:30AM at the Elko Cemetery
• 11:30AM Annual Veterans BBQ at the VFW Hall
Veterans eat free. $5 donation for community members. Games, food, and live music.

📍 Memorial Day Service at the Carlin Cemetery begins at noon today.
Flag setup starts at 7AM.

🎤 Kool 94.5 FM is saddened to hear about the passing of hip-hop legend Rob Base.

Rob Base, born Robert Ginyard, passed away peacefully surrounded by family today following a private battle with cancer. He was 59 years old.

A true pioneer in hip-hop and dance music, Rob Base helped define an era with the iconic 1988 platinum hit “It Takes Two” alongside DJ E-Z Rock. The song became a worldwide anthem and remains one of the most recognizable and celebrated tracks in hip-hop history.

Even decades later, Rob Base continued performing and connecting with fans across the country through tours like the “I Love the ‘90s Tour,” proving the timeless impact of his music and energy.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans around the world. Thank you for the memories, the beats, and the soundtrack to generations. ❤️🎶
