Things Seniors are not being told by our County Administration:

Senior property tax credit (approved by Alan McCarthy before Danielle Hornberger was elected County Executive) You must be 65 years old or older, property assessed at $300,000 or less, must have annual income less than $84,000/year and resided in the property listed for at least 20 years. This would have to be applied for before Sept 1 to effect the current year, otherwise it will have to be applied to next years tax bill. This is how you get the application: 1. Go to the Cecil County government web site. 2. Go to Government. 3. Go to Finance. 4. Go to Property tax. 5. Go to tax credit program. 6. Go to Senior/Veteran 7. Go to Cecil County Credit application. Now print it out. By the way, Alan McCarthy pointed this program out to me since neither Danielle Hornberger nor Vince Sammons never bothered to make us aware of this. In my humble opinion, it is these type of people that need tax relief the most. Please copy and paste this to your face book page so we can let everyone know.

Biden Administration Releases 400 Million N95 Masks from Reserves...

Biden Announces Federal Government will Release 400 Million Free N95 Masks

The White House announced Wednesday that the masks will come from the government's Strategic National Stockpile, which has more than 750 million of the highly protective masks on hand. The masks will be available for pickup at pharmacies and community health centers across the country. They will begin shipping this week for distribution starting late next week, the White House said.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday updated its guidance on face coverings to more clearly state that properly fitted N95 and KN95 masks offer the most protection against COVID-19.

The best mask "is the one that you will wear and the one you can keep on all day long, that you can tolerate in public indoor settings," CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said last week.

So take the time today to investigate where in Cecil County these masks will be available.

Once Cecil Public Media finds where in the County the N95 Masks will be distributed we will let post on our page and Cecil TV website so keep on checking.

The grand opening of New York deli at Main and bow Street in Elkton opened yesterday. Their hours are 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. 7 days a week. Very nice people, clean place lots of snacks, deli is open and a variety of drinks, plus Hershey's ice cream. Free coffee this week. Go check it out.
