BIOGRAPHY OF PASTOR POJU OYEMADE
Pastor Poju Oyemade is the Founder and Senior Pastor of The Covenant Nation (TCN), a thriving church based in Lagos, Nigeria, with a vision to raise spiritually sound and socially responsible believers. Born on May 8, 1968, in Ibadan, Oyo State, he grew up in a disciplined and intellectually rich environment. He attended International School, Ibadan, and later earned a degree in Applied Physics and Electronics from the University of Lagos, where he also received his call into ministry.
His ministerial journey began in his university days and was solidified when he was ordained by Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church. In 1994, he established Covenant Christian Centre, which has since grown into The Covenant Nation—known for sound biblical teaching, leadership development, and societal impact. The church continues to influence lives across Nigeria and internationally through its diverse ministry platforms.
Pastor Poju is an articulate teacher of the Word of Faith, with a unique ability to connect deep scriptural truths with practical life application. He is the convener of major conferences such as WAFBEC (West Africa Faith Believers’ Convention), the International Conference for Pastors, Ministers, Leaders, and Workers (ICPLMW), and The Platform Nigeria—a nationally recognized forum that promotes dialogue on leadership and nation-building.
His teachings reach millions through his TV programs, "Insights for Living" and "The Quantum Leap", aired across Nigeria and abroad. He also uses digital platforms to mentor believers, inspire leaders, and foster civic responsibility among Christians. Pastor Poju is passionate about raising a new generation of believers who will shape culture and influence systems with godly wisdom and integrity.
He is married to Pastor Oluwatoyin Oyemade (née Fajuyigbe), a creative media professional and minister. Their union reflects a blend of purpose, passion, and partnership in ministry. Together, they are committed to empowering individuals, strengthening families, and advancing the Kingdom of God through faith, excellence, and nation-transforming principles.
