I have felt for a long time that people are missing out on all that Ellijay has to offer. We have events and charities that are happening all the time and yet its a hit and miss with getting out the information. In order to help out our commerce and the good people of Ellijay each week or day if possible I am going to pick out a local company or organization and try and help promote them this will help keep local money here and hopefully open up much needed jobs. So I am going to put out as much information as I can about upcoming events with photos. By liking this page I will promise to keep you informed with as much info as humanly possible. Adult spotted lanternflies have been spotted in Georgia! This invasive pest can create quite a mess. When they feed, trees leak fluids, leading to the growth of sooty mold from the sugary excretions. While they don't bite, their large gatherings can be bothersome. Help combat lanternflies by monitoring their population!
