We are very lucky to have electricity again after Helene but due to trouble with the temporary antenna on our tower now as well as still not having the permanent antenna system fixed yet it will take a little more time to get WLRE Radio back on the air again.

As I woke up this morning I found out on Facebook that Joey Nuggs had passed away during the Laborday weekend. I first met Joey in 2006 while doing the radio announcing for CWA Pro Wrestling out of Orangeburg SC. We recorded over a hundred commercials together for CWA. Joey did a morning show for WLRE Radio for a while and promo commercials for the station, his most famous one was This is Joey Nuggs CWA Pro Wrestling Manger, your listening to WLRE Radio The Best In Hometown Country Music tune it in and rip off the k**b. RIP Joey.

On all future shows for WLRE Radio we will have to have at least two weeks pre booking for a minimum number of people preforming before the show is announced as a go. This doesn't mean you can't bring your instrument and play just that we have to have a minimum pre count ahead of time for preformers.

In Santee on Saturday night I want to thank everyone who helped make the show possible you guys sounded great. The over the air sounded great and I am getting a lot of compliments. Bob Thank-you for bringing the sound equipment for Friday's show and Mike for bringing Saturday's sound equipment and setting up on stage.

WLRE Radio Live On The Air Radio Shows made our first come back attempt since having to change our sound and back line software and carrier. Friday nights show in St George went great and I wish to thank everyone who showed up to play, it was really good. One problem we had is that we setup in the new half of the building and was hidden from the people who came or stopped to hear us. This I soon found out when I walked outside to make a cell call and was swamped by people who had eaten and were leaving and asked where is the show it sounds great on the radio. I told owner Alberto and he realized why people kept looking around the room while they were eating. He said next year he would have us setup in the dining room and not make that mistake again, we'll yeck is was our first show there. All in all it went great good talent, and a really good show.

Well WLRE Radio had their first double header shows at Armandos Mexican Restaurants with the first being in St George, SC on Friday night and then Santee, SC on Saturday night. This was our first live on the air show in St George and our seventh in Santee. It was also our first show back after having to wait three quarters of a year to get a new audio back link carrier to do any remote broadcasts. My son Brad worked from late September till a day before the shows putting together new software to make everything work good and other than having some interface problems with on stage sound equipment at first the sound sounded like you were at the station in the studio, great. The new remote control system worked great with no problems. Thanks Brad for staying up many nights without sleep to make this new sound back line and remote system so WLRE Radio could once again do remote broadcasts.

WLRE Radio 96.5 FM is having their Live On The Air Radio Show at Armandos's Mexican Restaurants in St George and in Santee, SC. The St George show will be Friday November 24th from 2 to 8 pm in their newly expanded building on the new side and will be the first show at the St George location. The Live On The Air Radio Show at Armando's Mexican Retaurant in Santee will be on Saturday November the 25th from 2 to 8 pm and will be our fifth show at Armando's Santee. That is the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving like always. The show will feature local talent from around the low country to the midlands with Country Music, Bluegrass, and Southern Gospel, all are welcome. Come join us at Armando's Mexican Restaurants of St George (Friday) or Santee (Saturday) for good music, good food, and a lot of fun. This will of course be Live on WLRE Radio 96.5FM The Best In Hometown Country Music and on the internet.
