Sometimes a second chance changes everything. For Lucille, it meant going from a life spent largely inside a crate to a home filled with patience, curiosity, and two beagle mix siblings named Buster and Maeby. 🐶

New sights and sounds can still be overwhelming, but Lucille grows more comfortable every day. Her family has loved watching her discover things many dogs experience as puppies, even something as simple as figuring out what tennis balls are for. 🎾

For the Jensen family, Lucille is also a powerful reminder of why rescue matters. Her transformation from Beagle #60 into a treasured companion shows just how meaningful a loving home can be. ❤️

For Bronwyn Henry, basketball is about much more than winning. It is about learning how to trust your teammates, recover from mistakes, compete with sportsmanship, and keep working toward a shared goal. 🏀

The St. Mary’s Visitation eighth grader plays for her school during the winter, the Dashers team for Divine Savior Holy Angels, and the Slayers during the summer. Along the way, her teams have earned first, second, and third place division finishes and multiple Catholic school division championships. 🏆

Her advice to other young players is to learn from mistakes instead of dwelling on them and always remember that basketball is a team game. 💪

Three home runs, tournament championships, an MVP honor, and eight years of baseball memories are only part of George Schreiber’s story. ⚾

George credits coach Tim Sullivan with helping him grow both as a player and teammate. He has also traveled to Omaha for the College World Series, witnessed the University of Arkansas throw its first no-hitter in 65 years, and met former Milwaukee Brewers player Kolten Wong. 🏟️

His advice for anyone thinking about trying baseball is simple. Give it a chance, practice the fundamentals, and most importantly, enjoy the game no matter the outcome. 🙌

Meet Lucille, a four-year-old beagle whose journey from Beagle #60 to beloved family member is a beautiful reminder of the power of rescue. 🐾

After spending most of her life in a crate as a breeding dog, Lucille was rescued from Ridglan Farms and eventually fostered by the Jensen family. What began as a temporary home became permanent after Lucille survived a serious medical emergency. ❤️

Meet Bronwyn Henry, an eighth grader at St. Mary’s Visitation whose basketball journey has been shaped by teamwork, determination, and one very special coach, her dad. 🏀

For five years, Bronwyn has played on a team coached by her father, whom she considers both her favorite mentor and biggest inspiration. Together, they have shared tournament victories, division finishes, and plenty of lessons that extend far beyond the court. ❤️
