Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

We sing this to close every service at our church, and we sing this with our kids after our bedtime prayer each night. It is always such a sweet time of worship, and a great way to remind ourselves to praise God in all things. He is so good.

Summer is here officially in our house as we just wrapped up our school year last week! I’ve been using that extra time to try and devote a little time to my Etsy shop. Today is Holy Saturday. While it is tempting to want to skip ahead from Friday to Sunday, there is beauty in this day of waiting. Today we discussed with the kids what the disciples might have been thinking while they were waiting on the Sabbath. In their sorrow, and suffering, they needed to hold onto the hope that Christ gave them, and continue to believe Him even when things didn’t go how they think they would. We have the benefit of knowing what happened on Sunday, and we praise the Lord for the resurrection! But we can learn from this day of in between, as we are now in our own season of waiting for Christ to return. How we look on that day with hope!

Our Story

I first started Yellow Parasol Designs as a way to use up extra T-shirts around the house and make some cute headbands for my daughter when she was a newborn. I have since discovered many uses for unwanted T-shirts, and enjoy creating fun items to put in my shop! Burp cloths, bandanna bibs, hats, pillows, and blankets are my favorite to make and customize. I use up every part of the shirt, even the scraps become stuffing for pillows. I also enjoy designing and making my own stamps to use on my products. Each item is unique, customizable, and up-cycled!
