More than 2,000 families will have a Thanksgiving meal.

Like neon ants, volunteers in brightly-colored safety vests braved sunny-but-cold temperatures in the mid-40s as they lifted boxes of food, 2-gallon plastic milk jugs and 2,000 turkeys into lines of cars that wound around semi trucks in an LCCC parking lot.

UPDATE: Turkey Giveaway Tomorrow - NEW LOCATION

Our Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway takes place tomorrow, Saturday, November 22nd, from 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM at our new location - the Lorain County Public Health Parking Lot, located right next door to the Sheriff’s Office.

This event is first come, first serve, and is open to Lorain County residents in need of a Thanksgiving turkey for their family. Residents who know of a family experiencing hardship are encouraged to share this information so they may participate as well. One turkey per car and we have approximately 200 turkeys.
