New Fraktur Arts Journal

New Fraktur Arts Journal New Fraktur Arts Journal is an Eastern PA-based, privately funded and produced journal of poetry, fiction, & non-fiction. Editor: Kate Marchetto.

We are dedicated to showcasing the work of emerging writers, focusing on—but by no means limited to—new and original thought. This can manifest at the level of form, image, diction, syntax, or structure: we like new forms that reposition us as readers and traditional forms reinfused with new energy; startling images, unpredictable diction, counfounding syntax; anything that confuses with a productive result, that surprises, delights, provokes us to thought. We like writing that is attentively crafted, and truly good work for us transcends whatever else we’ve said here. We strive to represent the best work that is available to us, working in conjunction with artists in all media to foster an ongoing dialogue focused on what it is we do when we create. The deadline for inclusion in the summer issue is May 1; the deadline for the winter issue is November 1. We welcome simultaneous submissions provided you notify us if your work is accepted elsewhere.
