Today marks Constitution Day & Citizenship Day, celebrating the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787.

But how well do you know the document that started it all? 👀

🇺🇸 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 & 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐃𝐚𝐲!

September 17 marks the anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787, while also recognizing the citizens who make up our nation today.

📜 𝐀 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲: 39 delegates signed the Constitution at Independence Hall in Philadelphia. The convention lasted from May 25 to September 17, 1787. Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and George Washington all signed the Constitution. More than two centuries later, it remains the foundation of the U.S. government.

Today is a chance to learn a little, reflect on our history, and appreciate what it means to be a citizen.

Constitution Day FAQ:
1. How many amendments have been made to the U.S. Constitution?
2. How many words are in the original U.S. Constitution?
3. How many original copies of the U.S. Constitution were there?

🇺🇸 What’s one fact about the Constitution you remember learning in school?
