Another White Bird Caught On Camera-
Local photographer John Schatz is on a roll when it comes to finding white birds to focus his camera lens on. Last week we passed along a photo Schatz had taken of a leucistic red tail hawk. This week he came up with a photo of a leucistic (white) blue jay. The story began when John’s wife, Linda, was cleaning out their parakeet cage on the back porch. One of the birds, Chips (also white) got out of the cage and flew away to freedom. Check out this week's Echo for the story.
RARE BIRD – Emporium wildlife photographer John Schatz snapped this photo of a rare leucistic (white) red tailed hawk in the Sizerville areas of Cameron and Potter counties. John said the hawk has been sighted frequently during the past three weeks.

The grandson of Wandering Aimlessly's Phil Burkhouse is rapidly developing into a very good photographer. Little Bear Wes Walters has a love for the outdoors, and his interest in nature photography adds greatly to his enjoyment of our area. This week’s photo is supplied by the Bear! The Bear is a hard worker who saves his cash and then spends it on expensive photography equipment which, to his grandfather’s way of thinking, is well spent. Read about their adventure to capture the photo of these Red Fox pups in the current issue of the Cameron County Echo.
