News from Roman: In the arena of screenwriting, this is a big deal. I am excited and grateful to be among the top 2% out of more than 11,000 entries to make semifinalist status at the upcoming Austin Film Festival Script Competition for my science fiction feature screenplay "The Redacted." It's a story of archived lives, false identities, and family rebellion. "The Redacted" is 1 of 10 sci-fi feature semifinalists.

In the film “Red Blooded,” a school board president who has little tolerance for immigrants, students of color, and others, gets the tables turned on her when she learns that her son is a member of the kinds of groups that she and her husband target, leading to her own lesson in acceptance.
