Mike Keneally's Nonkertompf Live premieres on Bandcamp Friday!

It's the premiere release of this historic 2001 concert in the Netherlands, featuring Mike and 10 other players. Included is a booklet with the story of the project, photos, art from the concert program, and the original score from “Hum,” one of the Nonkersongs souped up just for this one-off performance.

It’s a substantial collection! I stand firmly behind all of these songs, with my hands on their little song shoulders! The Tar Tapes Vol. 2 spans a gaping stylistic range, from me at my most accessible and pop-oriented, to more abstract/complex occurrences, and a myriad of way-stations in between....

Originally an extremely limited-edition CD, released in the late ‘90s, The Tar Tapes Vol. 1 compiles some of the best tracks from the Tar Tapes cassette releases I put out throughout the 1980s. It includes early versions of later faves and several other lost nuggets of pleasure.
